The Society for Terrestrial-Alien Relations was formed in the early 1960’s as an alternative to the more religious, cult-like organizations of Raëlianism and the Aetherius Society.  The Society’s founders believed in a more scientific and practical approach to the study of extraterrestrial life. Aliens were not beings to be feared or worshiped but rather viewed as cosmic neighbors to say hello to.

The overwhelming amount of evidence and eye-witness accounts around the world, coupled with the government cover-ups in Roswell and Area 51, have led a large number of people to realize that we are not alone in the universe. Today, the society boasts world-wide membership in the 10’s of thousands. It actively engages in the training of its members for first contact and it maintains facilities at its headquarters where all aspects of extraterrestrial existence are studied.
